New invention or desperation?
57Ohhhh nnooo
As noted in my profile,I am a deer hunter;and as a deer hunter and female,I get into some unusual predicaments.
Things that men take for granted,at times leave women wishing we were built differently.
There are many times I see men effortlessly shimmy up a tree, reach all the way around it and hang up this little "rack" that holds any type of accessory used for hunting.Long arms and body--don't have 'em.Let me try that and you will see several attempts at slinging it with on hand and attempting to catch it with the other one.If not for the safety harness I would have gone flying long ago. This goes on for a while until I decide who needs it;i can dig around in my bag for what I need.
Then there is the stand "tote".Yea,men get it on their backs and everything seems to fall right into place. The stand starts right between their shoulders and ends just above their butt.
Now watch a short woman do that. The darn thing ends down around the back of her knees.
Then it goes on the tree.Men can just step over into it and up they go.Now here's how it is for us.We grab the upper part and try to swing onto the lower foot rest.Uh-huh,, do that while wearing a whole load of laundry because it is so blasted cold.
Then we come to the touchy part. How do we relieve ourselves while hunting? We sure as heck can't do it like the men.NO! we have to climb down, hope no one is nearby looking down and bare all. This has brought me to think I need to tape a gatorade jug to my leg and wiggle it into place when the urge hits. Now this is going to make walking sort of tough;kind of like a bow-legged cowboy.
As for the other, the short bodies, arms and legs, well I'm still working on that.Stilts won't work;can't walk in them.Shoulder pads like a football player, hmmm, might add body length,,,nah. We carry enough weight into the woods as it is.
Oh well somehow we will manage with our short bodies and arms;and probably continue to bare it all. That urge for deer hunting wins over every obstacle.
