JUST LIKE MOMMY

The young woman had become tired of the married life

and longed to live the single life again.The marriage was

in a shambles.There was daily fighting and name calling.

Drugs and guilt over the illicit sex had taken their toll.

She could no longer face the family and had to find something

to blame her anger on so she put the blame on her husband.

She began to tell everyone how he was so hard to live with

and then she left her husband and children.

One of those children was a little girl who loved her

mommy so.She wanted to be just like mommy.

The woman moved into a drug infested community among

people who had no morals.She associated with known felons,

drug dealers,users,having relations with just anyone for

the drugs she could get.At times she would be sober enough

for the children to visit but would be a mess before they

left.

HRS got involved and the children were not allowed contact

with her.It hurt them but the little girl continued

to dream of the day she could see her mommy again.

Many years later the little girl,no longer little,

decided to do things that she saw mommy do.

A few years after that there was a fatal accident.As

traffic backed up on the highway and gawkers had their

fill of the horroriffic scene a woman looked at a young

woman lying unconsciouus on the side of the road.She was

so very thin,with hollow sunken eyes,and sores on her face.

The woman turned to a friend and said "wonder who she is".

An older gentleman with tears streaming down his face

replied "she is that little girl you left so long ago;

the one who wanted to be just like mommy".Looks like

she made it.She is just like you were when you left".
